Junior School Newsletter Term 3
A Word from the Head of School
This term, our students have been immersed in rich, purposeful learning experiences that foster curiosity, creativity, and connection across all year levels. From exploring the foundations of Islamic faith to diving into scientific inquiry and celebrating the joy of reading, our classrooms have been alive with discovery. It has been inspiring to see our youngest learners retelling classic stories like The Three Little Rabbits, linking literature with early scientific thinking, while older students connected faith with observation through their understanding of Salah and natural patterns. Book Week and Science Week added layers of excitement, reminding us of the power of storytelling and exploration in shaping young minds.
At IQRA College, we are proud to provide a learning environment that nurtures both academic and spiritual growth. This term’s learning journey reflects our commitment to integrating Islamic values with the Australian Curriculum in meaningful and engaging ways. As always, we thank our dedicated staff and supportive families for walking alongside our students as they continue to grow in knowledge, faith, and character.

They observed and analysed how the food colouring spread much faster in hot water and much slower in cold water.
Bringing Narrative Text to Life

Children have been bringing their narrative writing to life by using the 7 Steps of Writing to craft unique and imaginative stories. They applied the visual thinking tool Chatty Café to give and receive constructive feedback from their peers. To celebrate their efforts, students shared their finished narratives with the younger years, inspiring our budding writers.
